The Seneca Falls Police Department arrested three people Thursday following a search warrant executed at 152 Fall Street as part of an ongoing investigation into methamphetamine distribution in the downtown area.
Police, assisted by the Seneca County Sheriff’s Office, took the following individuals into custody:
38-year-old Tanya Rush, of Seneca Falls, was charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th (A misdemeanor), Criminal Use of Drug Paraphernalia 2nd (A misdemeanor), Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 4th (C felony), and Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 3rd (B felony).
45-year-old Joseph Smith, of Seneca Falls, was charged with Criminally Using Drug Paraphernalia 2nd (A misdemeanor), Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 4th (C felony), Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 3rd (B felony), and Hindering Prosecution 1st (D felony).
40-year-old Shawn Standbrook, of Seneca Falls, was charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th (A misdemeanor).
Following the arrests, Seneca County Code Enforcement inspected the apartment and condemned the residence due to unsafe living conditions.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation; the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
