The Fight For The ERA Continues 100 Years Later

SHARE NOW

Friday night, Seneca Falls kicked off the Annual Convention Days celebration with some star power.

The fight for women’s rights got a boost from Governor Kathy Hochul, State Attorney General Letisha James, Congresswoman Cori Bush (D-MO), Congresswoman Caroyln Maloney (D-NY), and others marched in Seneca Falls calling for approval of the Equal Rights Amendment.

The Town of Seneca Falls this weekend is celebrating both the 175th anniversary of the first Women’s Rights Convention held in Seneca Falls in 1848 and the 100th anniversary of Alice Paul calling for the ERA during a speech at the Seneca Falls Presbyterian Church.
