Want to grab a quick sandwich and a drink from a food truck? You might soon be able to in Geneva-at the lakefront, but not downtown.
Last week the Geneva City Council voted to amend a plan to allow food trucks in the city. Trucks would not be allowed downtown to help protect downtown restaurants.
According to the Finger Lakes Times, the change from no food trucks-to-trucks on the lakefront needs a second approval at next month’s meeting to become a chapter of city code.
In 2012 the Geneva City Council agreed with restaurant owners and refused to approve the food trucks.
