The state has released the results of a follow-up audit conducted by the Comptroller’s Office into recommendations made to Wayne-Finger Lakes BOCES based on a 2016 audit. The follow-up review was limited to interviews with BOCES personnel and the inspection of certain documents related to the issues identified in our report.
Based on its procedures, the state found BOCES made progress in implementing corrective action. Of the dozen audit recommendations, five were fully implemented, four were partially implemented and two were not. The follow-up found that one recommendation was no longer applicable.
