It’s just the first week of school, but here is a reminder to drive safely and watch out for school buses.
Two students suffered minor injuries after a car attempting an unexpected U-turn collided with a South Seneca Central School District bus Wednesday afternoon, according to the district. The crash occurred on Route 96 as the bus was returning from Tompkins-Seneca-Tioga BOCES.
The two students were seen at CMC after bumping their heads during the collision. The bus driver and other students were not injured.
An alternate bus transported the other students home.
The school district reminds drivers to stay alert and cautious as the new school year is underway.
