SHARE NOW

A Sodus woman pleaded guilty to arson before her trial which was set to begin Monday in Wayne County Court.

Pamela Robinson, who purchased a vehicle from the Peake dealership in 2023, had also signed up for renters’ insurance, increasing her policy from $50,000 to $200,000. At the time, she lived at Nakissa Drive apartments in Sodus. Witnesses reported seeing Robinson move belongings, including a fish tank, into her vehicle before a fire occurred. Suspicious, insurance adjusters prompted an investigation by the New York State Department of Financial Services and State Police.  Robinson was arrested in March 2024 on charges of arson and insurance fraud exceeding $50,000.

The Times of Wayne County reports that Robinson, when sentenced on March 18th, faces two to six years in state prison.
