The Ontario County Sheriff’s Office is asking for your help in locating Dale Mosher, the former commander of the Geneva American Legion Post #396, who is wanted on a charge of second-degree grand larceny.
The 65-year-old failed to appear in court on September 18 in connection with the alleged theft of nearly $93,000 from the Legion. He was indicted in April following a ten-month investigation that concluded he stole $92,968 from the post between December 2015 and May 2023.
Deputies say Mosher could be traveling between New York and Tennessee. He is described as 5 feet 10 inches tall, about 205 pounds, with gray hair and brown eyes. Mosher is known to drive a 2018 Jeep Renegade that is described as being gray and anvil in color. It has Tennessee license plates 273BPCZ. A photo of the vehicle is below:

Anyone with information is urged to contact the Ontario County Sheriff’s Office at 585-394-4560 or submit an anonymous tip through the OntarioSheriffNY app or the county’s website.
Authorities warn the public not to approach Mosher but to call law enforcement immediately.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
