A Junius man has been arrested on an animal cruelty charge.
According to the Seneca County Sheriff’s Office, deputies were attempting to serve a civil judgment at a State Route 318 home in the town on May 2 when they found a dog under the care of Timothy Tandle with an injured eye. An investigation alleges the 41-year-old failed to provide adequate veterinary care causing further injury to the dog’s eye.
Tandle was arrested and issued an appearance ticket for Junius Town Court on May 20.
The Town of Junius Dog Control Officer dog seized the dog and brought it to a veterinary clinic for medical treatment that included the removal of the eye.
