Seneca7 Race Around Seneca Lake Returns Sunday

SHARE NOW

305 teams of seven runners will take part in this weekend’s Seneca7 race.

The 77.7-mile race around Seneca Lake begins in downtown Geneva at 5:45 on Sunday morning. Runners will be spaced out in six waves, with the final wave starting at 9 am. Runners will follow a route around the lake that will take them down the west side on Route 14, through Watkins Glen, and back along the eastern shore.

The Seneca7 was born in 2011 as a leadership-building exercise for students of Hobart & William Smith Colleges. It’s been held every year since then, with virtual editions in 2020 and 2021 due to the global pandemic.
