More debate is expected as the Department of Environmental Conservation has released the Scoping Document for the proposed expansion of the Seneca Meadows Landfill.
The 41-page document released last week lists the issues Seneca Meadows must address in preparing a draft Environmental Impact Statement for the proposed 47-acre expansion of the Seneca Falls Landfill.
If approved by DEC, the landfill could continue operating until 2040. DEC officials say they reviewed nearly 600 public comments to help ensure the draft EIS focuses on issues of interest to the community.
