Now that it’s been made public that Waterloo officials could be looking to abolish the village police department, there’s more support for keeping the police department.
Seneca Falls Police Chief Timothy Snyder has written a letter saying the men and women of the Seneca falls Police Department express their strong support for Waterloo police. Snyder says he has had the privilege of working alongside Waterloo police for the past 25 years and the two agencies have maintained a strong and cooperative working relationship.
Snyder adds that to abolish the department would have lasting consequences for public safety, emergency response times, and the overall security of the village.
