UPDATE:

A memorial service for Benjamin Cafolla will be held on Monday, at 11:00 am at St. Patrick Catholic Church at 97 W Bayard St, Seneca Falls. In lieu of flowers, the family of Cafolla has requested any donations to be made in memory to three separate entities: Alfred University’s Saxon Nation, Mynderse Academy Athletic Association and/or the Beverly Animal Shelter in Waterloo.

Police in Nashville are investigating the death of a Seneca Falls native after he fell from a ledge outside a hotel in Downtown Nashville.

According to Metro Nashville Police, 25-year-old Benjamin Cafolla accidentally fell from a ledge at the Union Station Hotel at around 3 last Thursday morning. WSMV TV in Nashville reported detectives were analyzing surveillance footage from the hotel to determine what happened. The station report said, “Early indications point to the man attempting to balance himself along the railing, then slipped and fell to his death on the sidewalk below.”

Cafolla graduated from Mynderse Academy in 2016 and received his Bachelor’s in Accounting and his MBA from Alfred University. He was a member and captain of the Alfred men’s lacrosse team.  According to his LinkedIn page, Cafolla was working as a consultant at CFO Solutions.
