Seneca Falls Moves Forward With Culvert Maintenance Project

SHARE NOW

One Finger Lakes town has determined that a planned culvert maintenance project will not have a significant environmental impact.

The Seneca Falls Town Board filed a negative declaration for the project on West Bayard Street with the DEC. The project will repair an aging stone arch culvert and a damaged timber inlet box that carries water from West Bayard into the Cayuga-Seneca Canal.

The town says the repairs are needed to prevent future flooding and maintain safe water flow in the area.
