A Seneca County man is dead after a one-car accident last night in Hopewell.
Ontario County Sheriff’s Deputies say 55-year-old Curtis Wright of Seneca Falls lost control of his car on Route 488 and crashed into a mailbox and continued on striking a tree. The accident happened around 11:30 last night, police were notified of the crash by an iPhone notification.
Deputies say the crash remains under investigation but speed and alcohol appear to be factors in the crash.
The Hopewell Fire Department and Canandaigua Emergency Squad assisted at the scene.
