Seneca Falls police say a local man is facing charges after a rollover crash late last month.
On Tuesday, we learned that officers were called to Black Brook Road around 6:15 p.m. on October 19, for reports of a personal injury accident. Police responded along with North Seneca Ambulance and the Seneca Falls Fire Department.
When first responders arrived, they found an overturned vehicle with one man trapped inside. Police say the driver, Shawn Bell, of Seneca Falls, was quickly freed from the wreck by officers and firefighters.
Investigators determined Bell had been driving under the influence of alcohol before the crash. Despite having several non-life-threatening injuries, police say he refused medical transport.
Bell was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated, aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle in the third degree, and failure to maintain lane. He was processed at the Seneca Falls Police Department and released with an appearance ticket for a future court date.
A passenger in the vehicle was taken to Geneva General Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
