A person riding a bicycle was hit Saturday afternoon on Route 89 in Seneca Falls.
The accident occurred near Demont Road. The bicyclist was airlifted by Lifenet to Strong Memorial.
Police are searching for the SUV involved in the accident.
Seneca Falls Police News Release –
On September 30, 2023, just before 4:30 p.m., the Seneca Falls Police Department responded to the area of State Route 89 and Demont Rd. for the report of a bicyclist who was struck by a vehicle that then fled the scene. The bicyclist sustained injuries and was transported to Strong Memorial Hospital for treatment. The involved vehicle is believed to be a white SUV, missing a passenger side mirror. The SUV was last seen traveling on State Route 5 heading towards Auburn. Police are looking for any information about this incident.
