Starting in 2025, Seneca County will share an excess portion of its four-percent sales tax revenue with its ten towns and four villages.
The local law was recently adopted by the Board of Supervisors. It states that when sales tax revenue exceeds a budget year estimate, Seneca County will retain $750,000 of that excess and the rest of the prior year’s actual sales tax revenue would be shared, up to 10 percent.
