Seneca County Sheriff’s Office Hosting Boater Safety Courses

Registration is open for additional boater safety classes in the Fingerlakes.

The Seneca County Sheriff’s Office will offer three evening classes broken down into two-day sessions in July and August. Beginning next year, anyone operating a boat or jet ski in New York will need a safe boating certificate.

Classes will be held on July 11 & 12, July 23 & 24, and August 6 & 7.

All students must be at least 12 years old to participate.

While the classes are free, there is a $10.00 fee for the certificates.

Classes will be held at the training room of the Seneca County Law Enforcement Center, 6150 Route 95 Romulus.
