The Seneca County Sheriff’s Office appreciates the critically important work that School Resource Officers provide to our schools today and every day. We appreciate their commitment to keeping our schools safe while also building positive relationships with the students, staff, and families.
The Seneca County Sheriff’s Office provides two School Resource Officers to the South Seneca Central School District and one School Resource Officer to the Romulus Central School District.
MEET OUR SRO’S
Deputy Zachary Nelson is currently assigned to the South Seneca Middle and Jr./Sr. High School Campus in Ovid. Deputy Nelson has extensive experience in narcotics identification and has the additional responsibility of being a K-9 handler. His partner, K-9 Coski, is stationed with him at the school. K-9 Coski is trained to passively alert in the detection of narcotics but also loves to socialize with students and staff. Deputy Nelson has successfully completed Crisis Intervention Training and is currently a Field Training Officer, Child Car Seat Technician, Project Lifesaver Coordinator, and Police Instructor. He also has tactical experience through his time on the Sheriff’s Office Emergency Response Team.
Deputy Tiffany Nolin is currently assigned to the South Seneca Elementary School Campus in Interlaken. Deputy Nolin has successfully completed both Basic and Advanced School Resource Officer Training. She has also successfully completed Crisis Intervention Training and is currently a Field Training Officer, Taser Instructor, Hostage Negotiator, Crime Scene Photographer, and Evidence Technician. Deputy Nolin holds an Associate’s Degree in Criminal Justice from Finger Lakes Community College.
Deputy Grace Lipker is currently assigned to the Romulus Central School District Campus in Romulus. Deputy Lipker started in this role in January of 2024 and looks forward to continuing to build relationships with the students and staff. Deputy Lipker has training in Emergency Response, Crisis Intervention, and Juvenile Law. She is currently working towards a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminology with New Hampshire University.
