At the request of County Attorney David Ettman, a vote on a proposed local law that would waive residency for Clerk of the Seneca County Board of Supervisors was tabled at Tuesday’s Supervisor’s meeting. Ettman had requested an opinion from the state Attorney General’s Office on whether or not this was an officer’s position that required home rule to modify the residency requirement.
Amanda Vavra is serving as interim clerk and lives in Geneva. The Board will take up the matter at a later time.
