A double murder trial begins today with jury selection in Seneca County Court.
Wayne Ellison Jr. of Waterloo and Chirstopher Kesterson of Phelps are charged with murder and criminal possession of a weapon. They were arrested after the September 2022 shooting death of William Waugh of Texas.
A bar fight in Waterloo is what lead to the shooting.
Waugh, a former Waterloo resident, was visiting for a wedding.
The trial was originally scheduled to being back in August, but was postponed after Seneca County District Attorney Mark Sinkiewicz turned over additional evidence in the case.
