Senator Pam Helming announced that nominations are open for the New York State Senate Veterans Hall of Fame program. The Hall of Fame was created to honor and recognize outstanding veterans from New York State who have distinguished themselves both in military and civilian life.
Nominees must live in the 54th Senate District but may be nominated by anyone. The 54th District includes all of Livingston, Ontario, and Wayne counties, and the Monroe County towns of Chili, Mendon, Riga, Rush, and Wheatland. Veterans can be nominated by completing a nomination form on Senator Helming’s website or by completing and returning a physical nomination form.
“As the daughter of a U.S. Air Force veteran and the mother-in-law of a West Point graduate who served as a U.S. Army Green Beret, I am eternally grateful for the commitment and sacrifice of our veterans and military families. Please join me in recognizing the service of our American heroes by nominating a local veteran. Each year, I host a ceremony around Veterans Day to honor all nominees from the 54th District,” said Senator Helming.
All nominees from the 54th Senate District will be recognized in a local ceremony hosted by Senator Helming. One nominee from each Senate District will be named a 2025 inductee to the New York State Veterans Hall of Fame and will be invited to attend a recognition ceremony at the State Capitol in May.
