SHARE NOW

U.S. Senator Kirsten Gillibrand will visit Buttonwood Grove Winery in Romulus Monday to announce her legislative push to designate the Finger Lakes region as a National Heritage Area. National Heritage Areas are established by Congress to recognize a region’s natural, cultural, or historic significance. Securing this designation for the Finger Lakes would promote tourism and help ensure that the area is preserved for generations to come.

Senator Gillibrand will be joined by Buttonwood Grove Winery owners Dave and Melissa Pittard, Finger Lakes Tourism Alliance President & CEO Meghan Lawton, Cornell Cooperative Extension of Seneca County Executive Director W. Averell H. Bauder, and Assemblywoman Sarah Clark.
