A Town of Savannah man was arrested Wednesday on multiple drug-related charges stemming from a traffic stop in July, the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office reported.
Deputies arrested 39-year-old Kevin Himes on a Wayne County Supreme Court warrant for criminal possession of a controlled substance in the third and fifth degrees, as well as two counts of criminal use of drug paraphernalia in the second degree.
The charges originate from a July 2025 traffic stop on Leach Road in the Town of Lyons, during which deputies say methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia were found in Himes’ vehicle.
Himes had been taken into custody earlier by the New York State Police for a separate investigation before being turned over to Wayne County deputies.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
