Ontario County Sheriff’s deputies have arrested a Rochester woman following a vehicle fire and a string of thefts in Geneva.
Deputies responded to Carter Road on Sunday morning after reports of a car fire. During the investigation, they discovered multiple vehicles along the road had been entered, with doors left open and items stolen.
A K-9 unit tracked a suspect through the area of Carter and Gambee roads, where deputies found 29-year-old Victoria Gordon fleeing from a parked vehicle. She was taken into custody at Station 19 on Carter Road.
Gordon is charged with arson. After her arrest, she was released to another jurisdiction on an active warrant.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
