Rochester Man Charged for Ontario County Car Burglaries

Police have identified one of the people responsible for a rash of car break-ins that occurred earlier this month in Ontario County.

29-year-old Daniel Steffen of Rochester is accused of breaking into cars in the towns of Gorham, Seneca, and Phelps during the early morning hours of January 2nd. Steffin is accused of taking multiple credit and debit cards, IDs, tools, musical equipment and firearms.

Steffin has been charged with grand larceny.

A second unidentified suspect is in the Monroe County Jail and will be charged at a later time.
