A Rochester man is facing charges after allegedly claiming to be a federal agent during an incident in the town of Romulus.
According to the Seneca County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded around 1:30 p.m. on Saturday after receiving a report that someone claiming to be a federal agent was trapped inside a fenced property. When deputies arrived, they found a white Ford SUV locked behind a private landowner’s fence. The driver, identified as 62-year-old Davi Dahrsnin, allegedly told deputies he was an undercover FBI agent conducting surveillance. Investigators say that claim was false.
Dahrsnin was charged with second-degree criminal impersonation, a Class E felony, and second-degree criminal trespass.
He was processed and released with appearance tickets for Romulus Town Court, where he’s scheduled to appear on Oct. 24.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
