The Town of Seneca Falls’ first-ever town manager, Peter Soscia, has submitted his resignation, effective December 31.
Soscia, a Seneca Falls native, was hired on August 1, 2022, with a three-year term that expired this past July. In June, the board approved an extension through the end of the year. The Finger Lakes Times reports that in his resignation letter to Supervisor Frank Schmitter, Soscia wrote that he had promised to serve three years in the role and felt it was time to step aside.
The Seneca Falls Town Board will now begin the process of seeking Soscia’s replacement.
