Remodeled Victor Thruway Service Area Reopens

The new Seneca Service Area (I-90 westbound mile marker 350) in Victor is now open to the public. The location is the eleventh new service area to open to Thruway customers as part of the $450 million project to redevelop and modernize all 27 Thruway service areas. The Clifton Springs and Junius Ponds Service Areas have also reopened.

Seneca Service Area

The Seneca Service Area is located on I-90 westbound between exit 44 (Canandaigua – Victor – NY Route 332) and exit 45 (Rochester – Victor – I-490). The facility is close to 6,000 square feet.

Restaurant options include:

  • Applegreen C-Store
  • Taste NY Food and Drink Products
  • Dunkin’ (Drive-Thru)*

Other amenities include:

  • Outdoor seating
  • Dog walking area
  • Private nursing area
  • Digital tourism kiosk**
  • Four level 3 high speed EV chargers**

With the opening of the Seneca Service Area, the Ontario Service Area (I-90 westbound, mile marker 376) is now closed for construction. The Ontario Service Area is one of four locations that will receive significant renovations and upgrades as part of the project. Fuel services remain available at all service areas during construction.

All 27 service areas are being redeveloped in a $450 million project with Empire State Thruway Partners. The project is funded through a public-private partnership and no toll or tax dollars are being used for construction.
