You’ll want to be extra cognizant of the increased motorcycle traffic in the Finger Lakes Region.
The 2023 Red Knights Motorcycle Club’s “Yankee Rally”is underway. The Finger Lakes Chapter 30, including active and retired volunteer and career firefighters, is hosting the rally which started Thursday in Seneca Falls.
The main ride is Saturday, June 10th beginning in Seneca Falls and ending in Hammondsport. Between those points, firefighter motoryclists from all around the US, Canada and a contingency will be visiting from Germany.
Beginning at 10:15 from the Quality Inn on Route 414 in Seneca Falls , the route will go west on 5 & 20 through Waterloo and Border City into Geneva, then south on Route 14 to Route 54 to Penn Yan, then continue on 54 to the Glenn Curtiss Museum in Hammondsport. We invite the public to wave and cheer as we ride through to welcome all of our friends from around the globe!! Approximate times to each are:
10:15 — leave Quality Inn
10:20 — downtown Waterloo
10:30 — Geneva Lake Front Drive along the Arterial, then onto North Cloverleaf to South Main Street (Route 14)
10:40 — West Lake Road Fire Station
11:00 — Village of Penn Yan via Outlet Rd/Elm Street, past the Penn Yan FD, then south on 14A and then 54 South (past the Lake Street Plaza)
11:30-11:40 — Hammondsport Fire Department (where they will be proudly displaying the American flag!)
11:45 — Hammondsport American Legion and the Glenn Curtiss Museum.
Come out and wave them on, you will see a group of over 200 motorcycles as they enjoy the ride through our fabulous Finger Lakes Region!!
Friday night the group relaxed outside the Quality Inn in Seneca Falls.
