Public Input Sought on Phelps Interchange Project

SHARE NOW

The Genesee Transportation Council is seeking your input on the Route 96 over Route 14 interchange project in Phelps.

The council, along with the New York State Department of Transportation and, the Town of Phelps, is looking to conduct an analysis of the interchange.

The project would change the current separated interchange to an at-grade intersection. Officials say the change would improve access, reduce maintenance costs, and improve resiliency and opportunities for economic development.

Comments can be submitted via email to [email protected], by leaving a voice message at 855-925-2801 code 3549, or by mailing a letter to the Genesee Transportation Council at 50 West Main St, Suite 5131, Rochester NY 14614.

Additionally, a public meeting on the matter will be held on Wednesday, August 21 from 5:00-7:00p at the Phelps Community Center. Attendees can discuss project goals, needs, and potential solutions to replace the interchange.

More information on the project can be found here.
