Waterloo officials are proposing 13 different projects using the villages newly awarded $10 million Downtown Revitalization Initiative grant.
The projects include moving the National Memorial Day Museum from Main Street to the Waterloo Library & Historical Society at 31 East Williams St. That plan includes the construction of a modern, state-of-the art gallery space and new outdoor community and event space at the library grounds.
The Finger Lakes Times reports other projects include improved access to Oak Island, canalside development, a Waterloo Arts Center, Main Street bike lanes, upgraded landscaping, attractive street lighting, and green infrastructure.
