Police: Sodus Woman Stole Medication from Hospice Patient

SHARE NOW

The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office reports the arrest of 50-year-old Lisa Thrash, of Sodus, following an investigation into the theft of prescription medication.

Deputies say Thrash, who was working as an aide for a hospice patient at a home on Newark Marion Road in the Town of Marion, allegedly swapped out the patient’s Oxycodone pills for another medication and then used the Oxycodone herself.  Thrash is charged with second-degree reckless endangerment, petit larceny, and seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance.

She was released on an appearance ticket and is scheduled to appear in Marion Town Court at a later date.

The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
