Police: Sodus Pair Robbed Man After Tying Him Up With Christmas Lights

Police say an argument over drugs in Wayne County led to two people allegedly beating another with a large steel chain link and choking him unconscious before tying him up using Christmas lights.

29-year-old Aleixieandra Hinkle, and 25-year-old James Bartron, both of Sodus, then allegedly stole the victim’s car keys, wallet, and money. The victim was able to escape out of a bathroom window and run to a neighbor’s house to call for help.

Hinkle was charged with assault and menacing while Bartron was charged with robbery, assaults, strangulation, criminal possession of a weapon, and unlawful imprisonment

Both were jailed following their arraignment.
