Police arrested a Seneca County man after he allegedly threatened to stab another man at a business in the town of Waterloo.
Robert Doane is accused of initiating a physical altercation with the victim and, during the dispute, displaying a knife. The 57-year-old Ovid man was charged with attempted assault, menacing, criminal possession of a weapon, and harassment.
The victim was taken to Geneva General Hospital for treatment of injuries suffered during the incident.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
