Police: Out-of-State Trio Break Into Vacant Seneca County Prison

SHARE NOW

Three men from out of state were arrested after deputies say they were found trespassing inside a fenced-off former correctional facility in Seneca County.

Last Sunday, deputies responded to the area of the former Willard Drug Treatment Center in the Town of Romulus for a report of three people inside the old prison property.  When deputies arrived, they located three men who had allegedly entered the building despite fencing surrounding the property that is intended to prevent unauthorized access.

Deputies identified the individuals as 23-year-old Francisco Garza Jr., of Texas; 18-year-old Oakley Walton, and 20-year-old Tyler Herget, both of Utah, as the suspects. All three were charged with criminal trespass.

They were issued appearance tickets for the Romulus Town Court.

The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
