Police say they arrested a homeless man they claim stole more than $7,000 worth of jewelry from Zales at the Eastview Mall on New Year’s Eve.
At a brief foot pursuit, the 23-year-old suspect, Uriel Barrera was taken into custody after allegedly being found with $7,228 in jewelry that he did not pay for.
Barrera was charged with grand larceny.
