Police Investigation Briefly Shuts Down Geneva’s North Exchange Street

Law enforcement agencies responded to an investigation on Hogarth Street in Geneva Thursday afternoon. At approximately 12:45 p.m., the Geneva Police Department and Ontario County Sheriff’s Office assisted New York State Troopers at the scene.

While details remain limited due to the nature of the investigation, authorities emphasized that the public was never in danger. As a precaution, Geneva PD temporarily shut down both northbound and southbound traffic on North Exchange Street.

One male subject has been detained, and no injuries have been reported.
