Seneca Fall Police Department Update-
On August 17, 2024, at 2:04 pm, the Seneca Falls Police responded to a report of a vulnerable, missing 8 year old child. After an preliminary investigation, additional resources were requested to the scene. The Waterloo Police Department, Seneca County Sheriff’s Office, New York State Police, Seneca Falls Fire Department, Waterloo Fire Department, Fayette Fire Department, Canoga Fire Department, Geneva Fire Department, Border City Fire Department, North Seneca Ambulance and LifeNet all swiftly responded to facilitate a search. The child was located safely within two hours of the call. The Seneca Falls Police Department would like to thank everyone who assisted with this incident which resulted in the safe return of the child to his family.

A search for an 8-year old autistic boy lost in the woods in Seneca Falls ended with the boy found and returned to his family.
Saturday afternoon Seneca Fall firefighters were called to the Blackbrook Road area behind Gould Pumps/ITT for the report of a lost boy.
Joining the search were Canoga, Fayette, Junius and Geneva Fire Departments. Seneca Falls Police, the Seneca County Sheriff Department, New York State Police and a State Police helicopter helped in the search.
