A Phelps woman suffered minor injuries after she was struck by a car while mowing her lawn.
Police say Lynn Bogart was on a riding mower just before three Saturday afternoon when she accidentally went over the curb and into the westbound lane of traffic in front of State Route 96. That is where she was struck by a pickup truck driven by Robert Fischer, of Lyons.
Bogart, 74, was taken to Thompson Hospital by Finger Lakes Ambulance. She was ticketed by the Ontario County Sheriff’s Office for failure to yield the right of way.
Fischer, 86, was not injured.
The Phelps Fire Department responded to the scene and temporarily shut down State Route 96 between Lester Road and Pearl Street.
