Phelps Man Accused of Child Sexual Abuse

A Phelps man has been arrested on sexual abuse charges following an investigation by the Ontario County Sheriff’s Office.

Edward Balliet is accused of subjecting a juvenile to sexual contact in the town of Phelps. The 47-year-old Balliett was at the Ontario County Jail awaiting arraignment.

An order of protection was issued on behalf of the victim.
