Canandaigua Police say they responded to the report of a fight possibly involving a gun outside of Bubby’s Tavern on Phoenix Street just before midnight. An initial investigation determined the suspect fired several gunshots towards a crowd of people in the street and struck a 38-year-old Canandaigua woman in the upper arm. The suspect fled the scene prior to police arrival.
The victim, who was not identified, was taken to Strong Memorial Hospital by Canandaigua Emergency Squad for non-life-threatening injuries.
