Ovid FD to Hold 9/11 Annual Walk And Remembrance Ceremony

The Ovid Fire Department invites Seneca County and all Finger Lakes Communities to view its 22nd annual September 11th March/Walk of Remembrance from the South Seneca High School down Main Street and Brown Street to the Ovid Fire Department Memorial, and join us in our Evening of Remembrance Ceremony on Monday, September 11th 2023.

The March/Walk will begin at 7:00pm at the South Seneca High School and proceed down Main Street to Brown Street. The ceremony will immediately follow at the Firefighter’s Memorial and the Village of Ovid Pavilion. Refreshments will be provided to all immediately following our ceremony.

All area First Responder Agencies and Groups (Fire, Law Enforcement and EMS,) and Military Groups are invited to attend the March/Walk of Remembrance down Main Street. Line-up begins at the parking lots of South Seneca High School (7263 Main St, Ovid NY) at 6:30pm with step-off promptly at 7:00pm.

First responders and military who are able to are encouraged to march.
