A 14-year-old from Ovid has been charged with criminal mischief after police say the teen used a wooden stool and a broken shovel handle to damage a vehicle.
With those items, the teen allegedly broke the car’s windshield, back windows, headlights, and tailights.
The unidentified 14-year-old will appear before Seneca County Probation to answer the charges at a later date.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
