Overnight Fire Damages Clifton Springs Duplex

SHARE NOW

An early-morning fire caused heavy damage to a duplex in Clifton Springs, but all residents made it out safely.

The Ontario County Sheriff’s Office says deputies were called to 17 and 19 Pearl Street around 1:30 a.m.  When they arrived, they found heavy smoke and flames coming from the multi-family home.

Everyone inside was evacuated without injury, but the building suffered significant damage inside and out.

The American Red Cross assisted the displaced families by providing temporary housing. The cause of the fire remains under investigation by the Ontario County Fire Coordinator’s Office.
