Two Wayne-Ontario County Teams were triumphant in the New York Junior Holstein Association Dairy Bowl Contest and will represent New York in Salt Lake City, Utah. This accomplishment represents their dedication to expanding their dairy knowledge and showcasing expertise in the Holstein Breed.
Dairy Bowl, a Junior Holstein Association Contest dedicated to broadening understanding of the dairy industry and the Holstein Breed, has been a focal point for the participants. The teams have demonstrated exceptional dairy knowledge and will represent New York at the national level.
Jonathan Taylor, Junior Advisor for the Wayne-Ontario Junior Holstein Club, expressed his enthusiasm, stating, “This group of Junior Holstein members has worked really hard to be state champions. The Junior team is looking to better their second-place finish from last year at Nationals in Lexington, Kentucky. The Senior team is the fifth straight team from the Wayne-Ontario Holstein Club to win states and is looking to repeat last year’s team National Championship.”
The President of Holstein Association USA and New York Dairy Farmer, Jonathan Lamb, said, “Congratulations to the Wayne/Ontario Junior and Senior Dairy Bowl teams on their impressive wins at the recent New York Holstein Convention. The commitment to practice and learning dairy trivia is outstanding. We look forward to seeing them compete in Salt Lake City this summer.”
The National Dairy Bowl Contest is scheduled to take place in Salt Lake City, Utah, on Wednesday, June 26th. The Wayne-Ontario County teams invite the community to support them as they embark on this remarkable journey.
