Ontario County Working To Provide More Rental Properties

SHARE NOW

The Ontario County Office of Economic Development is inviting local property owners to take part in a new initiative aimed at transforming vacant properties into much-needed rental units.

As part of its effort to address the ongoing housing shortage, the county is seeking a $1.5 million grant from New York State, which would provide property owners with up to $75,000 in funding to repair and convert their properties for rent.

An information session will be held on Wednesday night starting at 6:00 p.m. at the Geneva BID at One Franklin Square, in downtown Geneva. The session will provide detailed guidance on how property owners can apply for the grant, meet eligibility requirements, and utilize the funds to convert vacant properties into viable rentals.
