The fundraising continues for an Ontario County teenager that suffered severe injuries when she was hit by a car last Thursday night on Route 96 while trying to save her dog.
19-year-old Skylynn Fox of Manchester, was thrown 120 feet into the air and suffered a broken pelvis and a shattered rotator cuff. The dog died.
The family shared that Fox underwent surgery and on a road to recovery, with her right shoulder successfully operated on, and her pelvis stable enough to not require surgery.
Fox’s family is calling on the Town of Manchester to implement traffic safety reforms at the intersection of Route 96 and Kyte Road.
A GoFundMe page, set up to help with Fox’s recovery, has raised almost $6,000.
