The Ontario County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s assistance in locating a missing 15-year-old girl last seen earlier this week.

Authorities say Israel “Izzy” Murinda was last seen on Sunday just after midnight by a relative with whom she shares a bedroom. She had recently moved with her family from Rochester to Farmington.

Murinda is described as a Black female, 5 feet 3 inches tall, weighing about 110 pounds, with brown eyes and long black hair. She has a brown complexion. Deputies say she was last seen wearing a black jacket and black UGG boots.

According to the sheriff’s office, Murinda has a history of running away and is believed to have left the residence on her own.

Anyone with information about her whereabouts is urged to contact the Ontario County Sheriff’s Office toll-free at 1-800-394-4560. Tips can also be submitted anonymously through the sheriff’s office website or the Ontario Sheriff NY mobile app.
