An Ontario County sheriff’s deputy was treated for minor injuries following a crash in the Town of Hopewell Monday morning.
According to the Ontario County Sheriff’s Office, the crash happened around 11:50 a.m. at the intersection of Freshour Road and County Road 46.
Deputies say 77-year-old Grace Perry of Canandaigua was stopped on Freshour Road facing north when she accelerated into the intersection and struck the rear of a marked patrol vehicle driven by 61-year-old Robert Holland of Canandaigua. Holland was traveling west on County Road 46 at the time and was on routine patrol.
The impact caused damage to the rear of the patrol vehicle and front-end damage to Perry’s car.
Holland was taken to F.F. Thompson Hospital by fellow deputies, where he was treated and released. Perry was not injured.
